From coaching young athletes on local courts to building one of Australia’s most exciting high-performance brands, Jayson Hook’s journey is driven by purpose. In 2018, he launched EJC Academy—a grassroots basketball and athlete development program offering elite coaching in a professional environment. What started small quickly grew into a thriving academy producing talented athletes and creating opportunities for young people across the community.

By 2020, that vision evolved into the Universal Athlete Centre (UAC)—a pioneering facility uniting training, recovery, and athlete development under one roof. UAC makes professional-grade performance environments accessible to everyday people and aspiring athletes. Jayson’s academic background spans sport coaching, teaching, and high-performance science, giving him the expertise to build environments that elevate both athletic ability and personal growth.

His leadership has been recognised nationally, including as a finalist in the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards with Business News Australia. Today, as UAC expands across the country, Jayson’s mission remains clear: make high-performance living accessible to everyone and inspire the next generation to reach their potential in sport and in life.
